Context
Financial giants — institutions like BlackRock and other traditional asset managers — have turned wealth into a fortress. Today’s financial system is accessible only to the few, secured behind walls of complex jargon and exclusive privilege.
This fortress was built on the belief that only the elite should access the true potential of wealth, leaving the masses as mere spectators in the game of finance, contributing value but not benefitting from the value they create.
The poor are taught to save. The rich are taught to invest.
Crypto and figures like Roaring Kitty ignited a spark — a brief moment of rebellion against the titans of finance. For a fleeting second, the world saw retail investors rise, challenging Wall Street’s gatekeepers and the powerful institutions hoarding wealth. But what came of it? Equally, we’re inspired by grassroots movements, like ConstitutionDAO that was formed to buy the United States Constitution, demonstrating how people who believe in a common purpose can come together, organize and build.
